OUR OPINION: Water services deserve a hand for flouride [sic] levels

    Editorial

News that the state of Alabama has honored several water providers in both Elmore and Autauga areas for proper fluoridization should be cause for celebration.

Proper fluoride levels go a long way towards ensuring proper dental health. It is especially important given that some families struggle to provide dental care for their children as is.

Alabama doesn't often get a pat on the back when issues of healthcare are concerned. The stigma that accompanies many Southern states won't disappear unless word of these successes gets out.

Congratulations, and thanks to our local water providers.
