    Ashland votes to fluoridate

    By Suzi Nelson

Title of article: Torpy wins city council seat

    Excerpts:

The issue of whether or not to fluoridate the drinking water in Ashland was also on the ballot. A total of 535 citizens cast votes against prohibiting the addition of fluoride, which protects against tooth decay, to the public water system. That means fluoride will be added. A total of 416 voters cast their ballots for the prohibition of adding fluoride.

Official election results will be confirmed later this week. Read The Ashland Gazette for more information on these and other election results.
